    Important Information for Customers with QuickTime for Windows Installed

According to results of an investigation published April 14, 2016 by US-CERT, a U.S. security agency, a highly serious vulnerability has been confirmed in QuickTime for Windows.

Due to Apple's discontinued support for QuickTime for Windows, security updates will no longer be offered and users are warned to uninstall QuickTime for Windows promptly.

Once you have uninstalled QuickTime for Windows, Shade3D products are affected in the following ways:

MagicalSketch 3D and Shapeasy will work normally. They are not affected by uninstalling QuickTime for Windows.

In the Shade 3D series, the following features use QuickTime for Windows and will no longer be available:

Operating System: Windows

Product: Windows versions of Shade 3D

Issue 1:
Movie files in .mov format cannot be imported or exported, and .mov format maps cannot be loaded.

Solution:
When exporting or loading movie files, please use the AVI format.

Issue 2:
QTVR (32bit/64bit) files cannot be exported.

Solution:
If you must export to QTVR, temporarily install QuickTime but be aware of the security danger involved.

Other Notes
At present there have been no reports of vulnerabilities with QuickTime on Mac OS X.
As such, import and export of movie files in .mov format is possible with the Mac OS X version of Shade 3D.
